Mr. Gros-Dubois, raised in Dallas, Texas, attended Southern Methodist University where he received his Bachelor of Arts in French Studies. In college, Mr. Gros-Dubois clerked for Cooper & Scully, P.C, and assisted family physicians, and other high net worth individuals with complex medical malpractice litigation. He attended American University's Washington College of Law where he completed his Juris Doctor in 2007 and completed his Masters in Business Management from American University's Kogod School of Business in May 2008.
During Law School, Mr. Gros-Dubois clerked for Urban Synergy, a non-profit educational group committed to developing a curriculum in constitutional and international law for gifted and talented high school aged children. He also clerked for the Austin Fund, a $3 billion private equity fund, researching companies and legal strategies for maximizing the value of the fund. Mr. Gros-Dubois had his first experience in the area of tax during his final year in law school at the Janet Spragens Federal Tax Clinic at American University, where he represented low-income taxpayers before the US Federal Tax Court.
Mr. Gros-Dubois joined JDKatz in October 2007 as a Law Clerk where he assisted in diverse matters from estate planning, to corporate law matters, due diligence, and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Gros-Dubois was promoted to a full time associate in August 2008, and has since assisted many corporate and individual clients reach successful conclusions to their various tax, business, trust and other legal problems and opportunities.
Mr. Gros-Dubois is admitted to law practice in the District of Columbia, Maryland, New York, before the U.S. Tax Court, and the U.S. District Court for Maryland. A Florida bar admission is also pending.
